
Erin Holliday, Executive Director
Erin is responsible for the oversight and implementation of the Accessibility Expansion Program. She currently manages all programming at Emergent Arts and successfully led the organization through rebranding and renovations. Erin works closely with the Board of Directors to ensure that the organization and its programs are on track and within budget. She has served as the Executive Director at Emergent Arts since 2012.
Erin is a native of Hot Springs and received a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute. While living in K.C. she worked in professional art installation, commercial and community gallery management, art consulting, and historic restoration. Erin has also worked in early childhood and elementary education. Since returning to Hot Springs she has found balance by working and volunteering with local nonprofits and is a practicing artist. Most recently, Erin was appointed to the Community Development Advisory Committee for the City of Hot Springs and is pursuing a certification as a Professional Community and Economic Developer.

Kara Gunter, Programming Director
Kara manages the studios and galleries, as well as assists in the implementation of other Emergent Arts’ programming.
Kara moved to Hot Springs in the Summer of 2018. She is a native of Lexington, SC and earned a BFA from Winthrop University, and an MFA from the University of South Carolina. She has taught at various universities including the University of South Carolina and Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia. Kara is also a sculptor, and works in glass, textiles, and ceramics.
