Yoga professional, Julie Zimmermann, will offer after work classes to accommodate all levels of experience. Kundalini yoga is ‘yoga of consciousness’ applying breath, mantra, mudra, and movement to achieve a desired result.
Julie has been teaching since 1999. Trained at Kripalu Center for Health & Healing, she completed her 500-certification in 2007, and went on to assist many internationally recognized teachers at the Center in Lenox, MA. She taught in NYC for decades at health clubs and yoga studios. She is also a Kundalini Teacher, certified in Austin in 2013. As the recipient of several grants, she was able to develop her love for working with special populations, including the Haitian-Kreyol community in Crown Hgts, Brooklyn, the NYC Police Athletic League, after-school programs for Harlem teens, and at First Tee, working with young golfers. Julie offers vinyasa, hatha, Kripalu, Kundalini and adaptive yoga. Hot Springers know her from Hot Springs Athletic and Village classes. Her classes focus on breath, mudra, mantra, movement and being in the present moment. Hot Springers may know Julie from her classes at Hot Springs Athletic or workshops over the years in Hot Springs Village.
