New for Summer 2015, Emergent Arts is hosting a Creative Writing Camp for teens. This camp will take place over three days and will include several creative writing classes and a book making workshop.

Creative Writing classes will be led by Poet and Teacher Kai Coggin.

Kai is a full-time poet and author and  published her first full-length book of poetry, Periscope Heart, in September 2014. Before moving to Hot Springs, Kai was an English Teacher in Houston, Tx where she was voted Teacher of the Year. Kai is also a teaching artist on the Arkansas Arts Council Teaching Roster specializing in bringing  poetry and creative writing to the classroom.
