Ice Cream Social

Please join us for the 2nd Annual Emergent Arts Ice Cream Social! We are inviting the community to come to Emergent Arts for this back-to-school open house event where you can learn about our classes, meet our teachers, and of course, have ICE CREAM!

Hand-made bowls will be for sale in support of our scholarship fund. The purchase of a bowl includes ice cream and toppings. We will also have small ice cream cones for the little ones to enjoy.

Just like last year, we will be repainting the mural on the front of our building. Please come by and grab a brush and put your mark on Emergent Arts!

Did you know that the original Dryden Pottery building once housed the Terry Dairy Ice Cream factory?  341 Whittington was home to the Terry Dairy until it was sold in 1927, and eventually became part of Yarnell’s Ice Cream Company. In fact, part of our art gallery was a neighborhood soda fountain serving Terry Dairy ice cream to Whittington residents. Check out the Encyclopedia of Arkansas for more details!
