Explore Printmaking

Age 6-14

This workshop will explore two printmaking techniques. In the first, we will make a relief print using a styrofoam plate, drawing on it, inking and printing it. The second technique will be a direct drawing transfer print. This technique will produce two prints: first print will be a positive of the drawing and the second print will be a negative impression. This workshop should produce a small portfolio of black and white prints. In addition to printmaking techniques, students shall learn about line, and positive and negative space in drawing.
