Winter Wonderland Tree Competition and Canned Food Drive
Friday, December 3, 2021 at 5 PM CDT – 8 PM CDT
Join us for our Winter Wonderland art tree competition and canned food drive to benefit Project Hope Food Bank. The Spa City Tappers will be performing, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will make an appearance.
Artists, designers, and organizations were asked to construct and install the most beautiful, wacky, elegant, crazy, amazing, artful tree they could come up with in Emergent Arts Circle Gallery. The exhibition is also a food drive for Project HOPE Food Bank. Gallery visitors will cast their votes by placing canned goods under a favorite tree. The tree with the most donated food items under it will win the artist a free month of membership to Emergent Arts studio. After the competition, food items will be donated to Project Hope Food Bank. Peanut butter, canned fish and other canned meats, canned soup, canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned stew, and canned beans are a few suggestions for what to bring.
The exhibition’s reception will take place Friday, December 3rd during gallery walk in the Circle Gallery at Emergent Arts. Voting will begin at 5pm until 8PM. Santa and Mrs. Claus will stop in from 5PM-6:45PM and the Spa City Tappers will perform at 6:30pm in the dance room at Emergent Arts. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for casual photos, but won’t be holding little ones on their laps.
The Circle Gallery at Emergent Arts is located at 341-A Whittington Avenue, Hot Springs, 71901. Wheelchair accessible.
