This spring we are excited to offer an Art Appreciation class taught by local Teaching Artist Anne Greenwood.  This class is intended for high school students and adults and will take place in the Performing Arts Studio at Emergent Arts.  This class will be an open exploration of student questions about art with guided slide lectures and discussion.  I will not be a chronological art history survey, but seeks instead to help students in cultivating a habit of observing art, framing questions about artwork, and learning to develop their own interpretations.  In addition, this class will help inform students in a general way about the history of art and some of the key theories of and debates about art.

This class will have 6 sessions on Thursdays from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
