Erin Holliday, Executive Director
Erin is responsible for the oversight and implementation of the Accessibility Expansion Program. She currently manages all programming at Emergent Arts and successfully led the organization through rebranding and renovations. Erin works closely with the Board of Directors to ensure that the organization and its programs are on track and within budget. She has served as the Executive Director at Emergent Arts since 2012 and is currently the only full-time staff person.
Erin is a native of Hot Springs and received a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute. While living in K.C. she worked in professional art installation, commercial and community gallery management, art consulting, and historic restoration. Erin has also worked in early childhood and elementary education. Since returning to Hot Springs she has found balance by working and volunteering with local nonprofits and is a practicing artist. Most recently, Erin was appointed to the Community Development Advisory Committee for the City of Hot Springs and is pursuing a certification as a Professional Community and Economic Developer.
Dr. Sarah Oatsvall, Art Education Program Administrator
Sarah oversees the administrative duties associated with art educational programming at Emergent Arts. She is the point of contact for students and families for registration, payment, and feedback for classes. Sarah works directly with the teaching artists to ensure their class needs are met, as well as collecting student data and feedback throughout the class. She provides teaching artists with guidance and resources in student communication, classroom management, and working with special needs students. Sarah leads a workshop at the beginning of each semester which is free for our teaching artists and open to the public that addresses these topics.
Sarah comes to Hot Springs most recently from Kansas but is originally from North Carolina. She holds a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Kansas, a Masters of Music from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Bachelors of Music from Furman University located in Greenville, South Carolina. Prior to joining Emergent Arts she worked first as a teacher and then administrator in public and private schools in South Carolina, North Carolina and Kansas.
