Intro to Digital Art using Procreate App
Creating an Illustrated Recipe using Procreate
Friday, September 26, 6:30 – 8:30
Saturday, September 27, 10:00 – 1:00 & 2:00 – 6:00
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to access all your art supplies while waiting in line at the DMV? Have you ever worked for hours on a piece only to ruin it with a rouge stroke? Have you ever loved a drawing but are less than thrilled with your color choices? Have you ever thought, “Where is the ‘control/alt/ delete’ function of this canvas?!”
ProCreate is a $10 iPad app that allows someone to make art with all these situations in mind. In this workshop, emergent artists will learn and work through the basics of digital illustration using their iPad, iPencil, and the ProCreate app. This introductory class will include sessions about layers, pressure sensitive brushes, color palettes, hand lettering, and much more.
This weekend intensive will include both lecture and hands on learning. At the end of the four sessions, students will have an illustrated recipe that will be ready to print and frame.
This introductory class is for artists who are comfortable making their own style of art. It is not intended to teach someone how to illustrate, but rather, to teach students how to make their work happen on a digital platform.
Class is lead by artist Paige Meredith Ray. http://Instagram.com/_paigemeredith_
$200 includes a workbook of tips, trick, and things to remember, as well as digital worksheets and templates.
Students need to come with an iPad and an iPencil and please bring a favorite recipe to use as inspiration.
